Roy Nakamura
President Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Roy graduated with a degree in engineering at the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana), and enjoyed school so much that he obtained a Masters in Journalism, studied East Asian Studies, pursued graduate coursework at Waseda University in Tokyo, got an MBA at the University of Chicago, and along the way sat for and passed the CPA exam. Told that he had to quit studying and start working he entered the world of high tech and spent nearly 25 years in Silicon Valley corporate finance. He then retired from that world and ventured into entrepreneurship, most recently in internet marketing, including search engine optimization. Roy is a self-described “without-a-life” workaholic, but he occasionally works out, is a wannabe golfer, and also is a voracious reader. He has an interest in but no time for tournament bridge and the strategy board game “go”, (played with stones on a 19×19 grid) and has run numerous marathons, half marathons and 10Ks.
Roy earned a Google Analytics for Beginners certificate.
Ross Barefoot
Chief Technology Officer 
Ross Barefoot has 35 years of experience in business management, 19 years of experience in website programming and development, and 13 years of experience in Search Engine Optimization and Marketing (SEO/SEM). Ross is a SEA Certified Master Level Instructor with the Search Engine Academy and serves on its board of directors and educational committee. Ross has been with Horizon since 2012 as chief SEO strategist and trainer, and in 2014 took on the role of CTO. Ross uses his industry expertise to set client strategies, troubleshoot difficult SEO issues, and keep our staff trained and up to date on cutting-edge SEO techniques so we deliver the best possible results for our clients.
Ross is also a Google AdWords Certified Professional.
Carolyn Renaud
VP Finance and Operations 
Carolyn spent 20 years in corporate finance as a manager and controller in Silicon Valley before coming to Las Vegas to put her MBA to real use. Her BA in French gave her a love of reading, writing and art that sparked a creative streak she couldn’t use in her accounting career. So, she volunteered to help Roy build a tutoring and computer training and repair business in Las Vegas which eventually grew into an exciting internet marketing venture, Horizon. Along with her business development and management duties, she also focuses on SEO and content writing. She is a graduate of Ross’s training program at the Search Engine Academy.
Matt Campbell
Web Developer Matt is a WordPress web developer. He started in Montana but calls Las Vegas home after being here more than 20 years. Matt likes creating sites that appeal to the masses but also generate conversions. He wants to help clients grow their businesses while at Horizon Web Marketing. When not at work, Matt and his wife like spending time together traveling, going to the movies, and visiting baseball stadiums.
